SPLURGING: A Call for Submissions

Open call for poetry of all forms or no form, flash fiction and flash creative non-fiction on the subject of Splurging. If your piece includes graphics or photography, please include it in the body of the word document or pdf that you send as your submission.

This is your chance to define the act of splurging on something in whatever way you see fit. Do you indulge in a pair of expensive shoes even though buying them might mean you have to eat Ramen for a week? Do you splurge with your time on social media even though you should be working? Do you splurge with your emotions in your interpersonal relationships? Do you splurge in ways most people could never even imagine?

Feel free to explore motivations for splurging of any kind, the process of the splurge, cultural/socio-economic implications and/or the aftermath of splurging.

Poetry = 30 lines maximum, all forms/genres are welcome

Flash Fiction/Flash Creative Non-Fiction = 300 word maximum

Please send your submission in Word document or PDF and email it to doitinpublic [at] gmail [dot] com with the subject “Splurging Anthology Submission” Feel free to include in the body of your email a short bio and under which name you would like your work published.

Deadline: May 1, 2013
