Visual recap of I AM FREEDOM Open Mic presented by Jacamo magazine. I hosted the event with Editor in Chief Jordan Anthony Swain at theSPACE in downtown Los Angeles.
The talented spoken word, rappers and poets included Inkwells J, Russell Curry, Maya Washington of White Space Poetry Project and Kendrick Dial. The crowd was also blown away by Aztec dance from Aida Landeros’ Ollin Ixtli.

Saturday night was filled with smoke, sangria and amazingly talented spoken word artists. Nestled in downtown LA in an industrial loft that reminded me of the historic brownstones in New York, held this motivational and ground breaking event. I AM FREEDOM was hosted by my clients Jordan A. Swain and Writer/Producer, Joy Donnell.
My work got featured this week in Almost Five [Quarterly]. I’m so happy that “city (punctuation)” found a home since it is a poem about losing your direction and your directive. I hope you enJOY:
